MORE THAN BUILDING RENOVATIONS

The vision of this initiative is to renew our physical infrastructure while expanding and deepening our commitment to our existing ministries that serve parishioners and the community of Peabody. These renovations will combine numerous, much-needed maintenance upgrades into a single project reducing future refurbishment costs.

  • Improve Liturgical and worship experiences through iconography enhancement. 

  • Grow our ministries and outreach by creating a “thriving congregation” that serves families and individuals from the greater Boston area. 

  • Improve accessibility throughout the sanctuary, Education Center, and Greek School by installing a multi-level elevator.

  • Upgrade infrastructure and critical facilities including restrooms, decreasing utility costs. 

  • Significantly improve usage of resources, through energy-efficient improvements.

  • Provide regular continuing Greek language and cultural education.

  • Modernize parish communications, reporting, and coordination among parish organizations. 

UPGRADED BATHROOM & UTILITY

The bathrooms in the Educational Center will be completely renovated for better accessibility and comfort for all those who visit St. Vasilios. In addition to upgrading the utility infrastructure, we will also add single-user restrooms to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges, offering wider doorways, grab bars, and space for wheelchairs or other assistive devices. The privacy of single-user restrooms also benefits parents with young children. By investing in these upgrades, St. Vasilios will meet current accessibility standards and create an environment that prioritizes the dignity and comfort of every user.

ADDITION OF 4-STOP ELEVATOR

An elevator will be installed connecting all levels of our facilities creating better access to all areas of the parish campus. This elevator has long been a dream of our community. Many people and parish organizations have contributed to this aspect of the Campaign and we are thrilled to see the elevator become a reality.

NEW INTERIOR WALKWAY

A new addition will connect the sanctuary to the educational center providing interior passage between buildings. Moving from the church building into the educational center has always been a challenge, especially during inclement weather. This new addition will provide ramp access to the back parking lot as well as an easy walk through climate-controlled interior walkways.
